Research groups
Overview
The IRB owes its remarkable international profile to fundamental discoveries achieved especially in the field of human immunology. Having been created in 2000 with just four research groups, today the IRB boasts 13 groups, and over 800 papers published in the most prestigious scientific journals.
At the IRB, our efforts are concentrated on research to achieve knowledge and understanding, but no less on research with a view to helping. In fact, our findings do sometimes break new ground, open up new avenues for developing drugs.
