Stefan Emming awarded BioLegend Best Workshop Presentation at the WIRM

Stefan Emming presented his work entitled “Mechanisms of regulation of human T cell activation and GM-CSF production” at the World Immune Regulation Meeting (WIRM), which took place in Davos Switzerland, on March 14-17, 2018. First, Stefan was one of the 10 EFIS-EJI Travel Grant Winners of this meeting. Then, he was awarded the BioLegend Best Presentation Award of the Workshop 9 in System's biology. The Award Ceremony took place on March 17, 2018 in the Plenary Hall "Davos 1".

Stefan is a 4th year PhD student working under the supervision of Silvia Monticelli. His thesis focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that lead to highly pro-inflammatory phenotypes of human T lymphocytes, and that may be potentially linked to autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
